Description
A poetic and socially engaged artistic project that transforms the act of picking up trash into a collective and sensory experience, reconnecting us with the living world. People of all ages are invited to participate in a performance that combines dance, theater, and play.
The Compagnie des gens d'ici will be performing at the 2026 Léman Blues Festival.
Three actor-dancers will perform in public spaces—urban, rural, and natural—as well as in “enclosed” spaces, at selected locations, during specific scheduled times, at community-building events of all kinds, and even in the daily lives of local residents.
Through a performance blending dance and theater, the residents’ attention is drawn to the movements of these “gatherers,” who transform the act of collecting into an aesthetic, artistic, and poetic—by inviting those present to participate, with the goal of highlighting abandoned waste as a creative and playful resource and mobilizing all audiences around the importance of caring for our environment.
Open to everyone ages 3 and up.
This initiative is supported by the Monts du Genevois Tourist Office and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
