The gates to one of Europe's most fascinating castles are open to you. Breathtakingly beautiful architecture, an exceptional setting between lake and mountains... truly magical!

Romantic and authentic, the visit is tailor-made. Explore the fortress with the help of an explanatory leaflet or an audioguide - available to rent on site or to download from App Store or Google Play Store. Children aged 6 to 10 receive a treasure map at the entrance. An unusual itinerary and videos on touch-screen terminals take you back in time to the Dukes of Savoy. Throughout the year, Switzerland's most visited historic monument also organizes exhibitions, shows and concerts. A visit is a must! Guided tours in 10 languages are available and highly recommended. Tours must be booked at least two working days in advance.

By car: follow the lake road from Montreux (4 km) or Villeneuve (2 km). Ample free parking in front of the château.
By train: regional train from Lausanne, Montreux or Villeneuve. Veytaux-Chillon" train station 300 m from the château.
By bus: line N° 1 from Vevey (25'), Montreux (10') or Villeneuve (5'), stop "Chillon" in front of the castle.
By boat: landing stage 100 m from the castle, regular trips in high season from Lausanne or Montreux.
