A tree as a friend

This immersive activity allows teachers to introduce their students to the fascinating world of trees, combining a sensory and naturalistic approach. Through hands-on experiences, students will have the opportunity to observe, touch and interact with different types of trees, fostering a deep connection with nature. The aim is to understand the life cycle of a tree, including concepts such as photosynthesis, evapotranspiration, sap circulation and reproduction. Students will also learn to identify the role of trees and the services they provide to the environment and living beings. In addition, this activity aims to develop a sensitive approach to the plant world. It fits in with school curricula, particularly for Cycle 2, which explores the characteristics of the living world, and Cycle 3, which focuses on the diversity of living beings and their functions in the ecosystem. This experience is a valuable opportunity for teachers to make their pupils aware of the richness of the natural world, and to prepare them to become aware and responsible citizens in the face of environmental challenges.
