Description
Whether you’re on your own, with friends or with family, come and lend us a hand to help keep the mountains clean!
Together with Mountain Riders and several local organisations, the Monts Jura resort is organising an afternoon of litter picking at the Col de la Faucille.
We invite you to join us in collecting litter from the Col de la Faucille ski area, following a variety of routes of varying difficulty. We will be collecting any litter we find between the car park and the summit of Mont Rond, sometimes using the 4x4 tracks and sometimes the ski runs.
As we go along, we will collect the rubbish to carry out a ‘characterisation’ and thus gain a better understanding of what is polluting our mountains. This information will inform discussions between the Joint Association managing the ski area, the Col’s shopkeepers and the public authorities to implement measures to reduce waste.
Throughout the day, you can also enjoy the activities at the Col de la Faucille (zip line, toboggan run, tree-top adventure course, etc.) as well as the festive atmosphere created by the local traders. You’ll also have the chance to meet local organisations involved in preserving our mountains, such as the Mountain Guides, the Grande Traversée du Jura association, the Tétra Jura group, and many more!
Meet at 3.00 pm at the Col de la Faucille for further details. Please bring gloves (such as gardening gloves) and a reusable bag.
Let’s work together to achieve Zero Litter in our mountains!
