Description
In Ô, two actors—who are also musicians and puppeteers—draw us into a whimsical world where every drop becomes precious.
José and Carlos lived happily by a lake. One morning, the lake disappeared, so they set out in search of water… While they were away, a thirsty bird and a dehydrated sloth took over the house—they, too, were looking for… water! What if water—that familiar shared resource—were the most fragile of treasures?
On stage, an ingenious set mounted on wheels takes center stage. Around it, the audience is seated in a bi-frontal arrangement: two tiers facing each other, two viewpoints, two different experiences. Because here, not everyone sees the same thing. On one side, the story unfolds; on the other, the backstage reveals itself. The mechanisms come into view, the tricks are laid bare, the strings can be guessed at… or they slip away.
Then the set pivots. And the show begins anew. What we thought we understood is transformed. What seemed hidden becomes obvious.
