From the Aqualoisirs base in Seyssel to Lac du Bourget in Savoie, 23 km of varied landscapes in a natural setting!
Departing from the Aqualoisirs base in Seyssel, you'll paddle down the old Rhône in the heart of the Natura 2000 reserve, to the village of Chanaz on the Savoie canal, and end your day on Lac du Bourget. This 5.5-hour descent will take you through the heart of a preserved nature reserve, with a succession of fun rapids accessible to all. Dedicated areas welcome you for picnic breaks. A multitude of bird species, as well as the mysterious European beaver, inhabit the Natura 2000 reserve of the Malourdie islands.
Arriving in Chanaz, you'll discover the Savoyard village, its lake base and houses on stilts. The "little Savoyard Venice", as it's known, will open its doors to you for the duration of your visit. You'll then take the ancestral "Canal de Savière", which leads you to the transparent waters of Lac du Bourget, France's largest natural lake.
