The Maison du Salève is a lively, friendly place where you can discover the history and heritage of the Salève massif through exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, discovery trails, conferences and even anniversaries.
Located in the countryside at Présilly, Maison du Salève offers unusual activities connected to its exhibitions, including guided tours, workshops, lectures and nature trails. Walks suitable for people of all ages start from the Maison, including the ‘In the footsteps of the Carthusians’ discovery trail, the pilgrim route to Santiago da Compostela, and the Chemin des Convers, which takes you to summit of the Salève.
The Maison du Salève’s eco-boutique features local artisans, food producers and writers.
Parking: Car and bus parking is mandatory 100m before the House. Disabled parking spaces are available directly in front of the House.
From Geneva: Take the A41 motorway, exit at "St Julien en Genevois," then follow RD 1201 towards Cruseilles. Bus Line 272 (Lihsa): Geneva – Maison du Salève (Pomier stop) – Annecy.
From Annecy: Take the A41 motorway, exit at "Cruseilles," then follow RD 1201 towards St-Julien-en-Genevois. Bus Line 272 (Lihsa): Annecy – Maison du Salève (Pomier stop) – Geneva.
Note: Get off at the "Chartreuse de Pomier" stop, then walk 1 km to reach the Maison du Salève.
From Annemasse: Take the A40 motorway, exit at "St-Julien-en-Genevois," then follow RD 1201 towards Cruseilles. Train/Bus: Take the TER train from Annemasse to St-Julien-en-Genevois (or TAC Bus Line 4), then take Bus Line 272 towards the Maison du Salève (Pomier stop).
