Take a stroll through the vineyards, whose cultivation has been attested to since ancient times and reached its peak at the end of the 19th century, when Carra wines were renowned throughout Switzerland.
The Vignes de Carra viewpoint is located in Ville-la-Grand. This historic site allows you to discover the local vineyards while enjoying panoramic views over the region and the Swiss border.

Location: The viewpoint is located in the "Moulin de Carra" area, to the east of Ville-la-Grand, close to the border with the Swiss commune of Presinge.
Access by public transport
1. By bus (Réseau TAC - France)
Bus line Tango, 3 and 6 stop "Ville-la-Grand Eglise".
From the bus stop, it's about a 15-minute walk to the vineyards and Moulin de Carra.
2. By bus (TPG network - Switzerland)
Line C: Get off at Presinge, Grand-Cara.
The site is just across the border, a few minutes' walk away.
3. By train (Léman Express)
Get off at Annemasse station.
The site can be reached in about 25 minutes on foot (2.2 km) or 10 minutes by bike from the station. You can also take the Tango bus from the station to the "Église" stop.
Access by car
Follow signs for Ville-la-Grand center, then Moulin de Carra.
Parking: Parking spaces are available close to Rue du Vieux Moulin. The final area is a greenway, so access is a short, flat walk.
