Just imagine… A beautiful sunny summer’s day in the Monts du Genevois. Listen to the birds singing all around as you travel the winding road to the charming village of Vers. Everyone is starting to feel peckish. It’s time to stop for lunch. Just there, nestled in the countryside, the Auberge de la Fruitière welcomes you.
With your family, make your way outdoors to La Paillote by the Auberge and take a seat in the shade of the parasols. Choose from the selection of tapas and grilled dishes on the seasonal menu concocted by Mathieu and Anthony, the chefs. Are you more into grilled summer vegetables, or maybe the grilled sea bream or duck magret? Choose what you fancy! Before leaving, let yourself be tempted by the dessert menu. The sweet taste of vanilla, a sour hint of lemon and red berries, creamy chocolate… How on earth will you choose from the selection on the menu at the Auberge? Take the time to enjoy this moment as a family. Chat away happily as you make the most of the sun and peaceful vibe here. The day isn’t over yet and the next part of the programme is very different.
After enjoying your delicious meal, it’s time to get back on the road and head to the Grand Parc d’Andilly. The children are bursting with energy, and the next activity is perfect for them to blow off steam. Once you pass through the entrance, follow the footpath to the pretty little houses down below. This is where ‘Père Gourmand’, ‘Père Fouettard’, the nutcrackers and a bizarre colony of scarecrows live. Wheelbarrow race, maze in the trees or in the dark… There’s so much to do here, you most definitely won’t be getting bored! If you try your luck on the giant game of the goose, make sure you avoid the prison and beware of the harvester. The most difficult part will be choosing where to begin. Speed, dexterity, luck, so many talents to make use of. Don’t hesitate to explore the alleys, they will all lead you to even more activities and surprises. You might even run into some cute, endearing little two- or four-legged companions.
Do you think you’ve seen it all? Then you don’t really know Andilly’s joyful little characters. Here, everything has been designed to whisk you back to your childhood and to amaze you and your children. While you’re here, don’t miss the shows that are reserved especially for you, our guests. Along with their owls, help the scarecrows repair Père Fouttard’s plane before he arrives! Mission accomplished? Go and see the show, “The magical feather”, from the magician, a member of the Nutcrackers’ brotherhood. A holiday village always comes together for the special dance. The scarecrows’ village is no exception. Come and join in with this festive dance!
At the end of the day, there will be smiles all round, eyes sparkling with wonder, and adults will have rekindled their childhood spirit.
