Situated in Annemasse town centre, this 1.7 hectare park is a leafy, flower-filled place with a children's play area, in which all ages can stroll around and relax. In the centre is the Villa du Parc contemporary art centre.
The park offers a range of facilities for walkers, as well as a number of allotment gardens. In terms of vegetation, 63 trees of various varieties have been planted, including two "Chicots du Canada", present for the first time in the commune. The emphasis is on the development of flora and fauna.
To cool off in summer, a misting system has been installed. Benches, deckchairs, picnic tables and sports equipment are available for outdoor physical activity.
While ensuring a calm and relaxing atmosphere, this square is a real living space, offering a variety of activities to residents: sitting on a bench, taking a stroll, getting a little exercise, playing, gardening, meeting up, picnicking...
Involved in the construction of their neighborhood, local residents, along with schools and the Colette Belleville senior citizens' center, have expressed the wish to be able to cultivate a vegetable garden.
There is no traditional play area, but the park as a whole is designed to be playful, with the addition of a slide. There are courses on wooden beams, Japanese steps and tree trunks.
The paths have been designed to be functional and to allow the already-used crossings of the square, as well as to create a promenade around the park.
