Lac de Pormenaz lies on the border of the Nature Reserve. To get there from Plaine Joux, you can either take the Chorde or the Argentières route. La Chorde is a fairly steep trail, equipped with numerous handrails and ladders. This trail is not a nature reserve, so dogs are allowed on a leash. The Argentières trail is less steep, but still has 2 handrails. However, this is a nature reserve, and dogs are not allowed.
