The church was built in 1846 and completed in 1847 in a Greek cross design with a Neo-Roman style. It has retained its onion-shaped bell tower and includes semi-circular arches. Its font is made of marble.
The church is dedicated to Saint Lazarus, celebrated in the Christian tradition on July 29. Its stoup is composed of a variety of worked marbles. It is engraved with an elegant neo-Latin inscription.
