This very old church is located in the center of Allonzier-la-Caille, below the town hall.
The church is very old, but impossible to date precisely. It is known that Allonzier had a parish priest in 1411, named Monseigneur Jean de Bertrands; the church was attached to the diocese of Geneva. In 1660, it was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt between 1829 and 1841, and is dedicated to Saint Martin. The bells date from 1869 and weigh 945 and 455 kg.
