Since September 2023, this emblematic tourist site in the Geneva region has been welcoming you with new areas and a new range of services. Don’t miss the chance to discover this place where sport, culture and nature come together!

During your visit, take advantage of :

  • a 150m² museum area where you can find out all about the Salève and the cable car.
  • a climbing wall over 20m high (fee payable, booking required).

Preparing your visit

for a successful experience

A few tips before your visit:

  • Go equipped with hiking boots! The Salève is a mountainous environment.
  • Remember to fill your water bottle, as there is no drinking water at the arrival station.
  • Use public transport to get to the departure station! Check the timetable before your journey.
  • Once at the arrival station, check the timetable for the last cabin indicated at the station. Don’t be late!

How do I get there

by public transport?

From Annemasse or Saint-Julien-en-Genevois

By bus with line 4 of the TAC Mobilités network!

Want to make it as easy as possible to get to the start of the Téléphérique? Now you can! From the Clos Fleury stop in Annemasse, in the direction of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois Gare or Lycée Madame de Staël, get off at the Veyrier Douane stop, then walk 10 minutes to the start of the Téléphérique. From Saint-Julien-en-Genevois Gare, head towards Gare Rotonde, get off at Veyrier Douane, then walk 10 minutes to the bottom of the cable car. On Sundays, you can get off just in front of the site entrance at the Téléphérique du Salève stop.

The little extra!

Take advantage of a discount on presentation of your season ticket at the Téléphérique ticket office (Carte Oùra or TAC mobile application): €12 for a return trip on the Téléphérique instead of €18. Don’t have a season ticket? Take advantage of a combined ticket giving you access to transport for just €1 more for an adult and €0.50 more for a child. The combined ticket includes one return trip to the Téléphérique and one return trip by bus (valid on the day of purchase only).

Where can I buy a combined ticket?

  • At the Maison de la Mobilité et du Tourisme in Annemasse, Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
  • At the 24-hour Automatic Ticket Dispensers at stops on the Tango line and along the Tram 17.

From Geneva

By bus with line 8 of the TPG network

From Geneva’s Cornavin station, get off at the Veyrier – Douane stop, then 9 minutes’ walk. Monday to Sunday and public holidays Single ticket CHF 3, valid for 1 hour from the time of purchase, to be purchased from ticket machines.
