Bivouac Monts du Genevois

Spend a night

in the fresh air

The bivouac at Monts du Genevois

Are you planning to spend the night in a bivouac?

Our massifs are open to all, but to preserve their richness certain rules must be respected. A bivouac is a short-lived camp set up for a single night, from sunset until the following morning.

Bivouacs are tolerated in our massifs, except in areas classified as biotope reserves.

Bivouac rules
  • Respect the environment
  • Select your site carefully (beware of cliffs, rivers and the nature of the terrain).
  • Don’t light fires on the ground
  • Collect your garbage and leave no trace of your passage.
  • Don’t disturb the peace and quiet
  • Don’t pick flowers, fruit or minerals.
